DIANA CROFTS-PELAYO is a reporter.
Currently, she is a convergence intern at KPBS, covering radio, television and the web. KPBS is a member station of PBS Public television, based in San Diego, Calif.
Graduating with a double major in journalism and Spanish, with a minor in honors interdisciplinary studies, she was the Outstanding Student in the College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts and the Department of Spanish and Portuguese from San Diego State in Spring 2012.
She wrote for San Diego State University’s newspaper, The Daily Aztec. Diana was also the NBC 7 San Diego morning news intern for fall 2011, with wakeup calls at 3 a.m.
Her future hopes are to work in television broadcast news, and in particular, become an international correspondent.
She is bilingual: Spanish and English and was raised in a Hispanic household, but also studied it extensively in school.
When she’s not studying, writing or interning, she spends time with family and friends, sailing, tweeting, reading and learning to perfect her journalistic capabilities.
